Born:  May 21,1987, Whitehaven, Cumbria.

Three-times British Schoolboy Motocross champion  and a former member of the Auto-Cycle Union Motocross Academy who decided to give up to try his hand at speedway after watching the 2008 Premier League Four Team Championship at his local track Workington.

He sold his motocross equipment to buy a speedway bike and after practising on the local beach was given behind-closed-door practice facilities at Derwent Park.

He made his competitive debut for then Conference League Scunthorpe in their final match of 2008, scoring one point from three rides in the Knock Out Cup against Boston on October 10.

In the winter he wrote to Buxton telling them if they signed him he would be their number one by the end of 2009 - and he lived up to his claim by averaging over ten points a match in his 23 outings for the Hitmen!
He also made his Premier League bow for Workington after replacing Luke Priest in their official line-up on May 29.

His first official meeting for the Comets was the following night when he scored four points in the 51-44 win over Birmingham.

He retained his place in the first team line-up for the rest of the year, claiming a season high score of nine, paid 11, against Berwick in September.

Despite scoring over 150 points his average remained low enough to be included in the Comets' 2010 line-up at reserve and after two guest appearances for the Panthers - at Swindon and Belle Vue - he was offered and accepted the number eight role, replacing the injured Joel Parsons.
