MATHIEU TRESARRIEU
Age: 24.
Born: March 2, 1986, Bordeaux, France.

The youngest of three brothers to have raced in Britain - Sébastien and Stephane having also ridden in this country.Started riding 80cc bikes when he was 12 and quickly established himself as an outstanding prospect, winning a string of junior titles.

Graduated to senior racing and has been ranked the French number one in recent seasons, overtaking sibling Sébastien. An accomplished grass track rider he made his European Final debut in 2003 and has been a regular qualifier for the World Long Track Final in recent seasons.

First came to Britain to join the then Premier League Isle of Wight in 2002 when he had one late season outing against Berwick.Returned for half a dozen matches the following season but then took a year's break before signing for Reading in 2005 when his shale career began to take off.

Even though he missed the opening weeks of 2006 after Reading rejoined the Elite League, he returned to the Premier League with Redcar for the opening of their league campaign and celebrated his first-ever maximum against Workington on August 31.He also had a spell as Elite League Oxford's number eight before moving to Wolverhampton where he made two late season appearances.

His 2007 campaign was wrecked by injuries, missing eight early season matches with a broken collar bone and then ending his season in September after suffering a broken leg and torn knee ligaments in a practice day crash at the European Grass Track Championship in Kent.He had already claimed the bronze medal in the World Long Track Championship after finishing seventh, 14th and first in the three Grand Prix rounds.Only made the occasional speedway appearance in 2008 and 2009 as he recovered from knee surgery although he did appear for Ipswich in two late-season challenge matches against Poole.

He was also eighth in the World Long Track Championship, finishing runner-up in each of the last two rounds.

Peterborough Debut:  at Lakeside, Elite League, May 28, 2010.
