PETERBOROUGH fans will get their first chance this season to see club asset Rene Bach in action.
Bach’s Premier League side Newcastle are among the eight teams confirmed as starters at the Fours Finals at the East of England Showground on Sunday, August 15 (2.30pm start).
The Diamonds are joined in the first semi-final by Birmingham, Sheffield and Berwick.
The second semi will be contested by Premier League champions Edinburgh, Rye House, Scunthorpe and Somerset.
Sweden’s Linus Sundström, ranked the top rider in the Premier League, will head Rye House’s challenge while it’s almost certain that Panthers’ fans will get their first glimpse of in-form Danish star Kenni Larsen, currently top of the Newcastle averages.
The biggest surprise is the absence of neighbours King’s Lynn who missed the cut based on the combined averages of each club’s top four on the August Green Sheet averages.
We will be carrying a series of special articles on the build-up to the competition which is the next meeting at the East of England Showground.
