NORBERT KOSCIUCH
Age: 26.

Born: April 28, 1984, Leszno, Poland.

Signed for Peterborough after turning down a counter offer from Elite League rivals Belle Vue - and, ironically, made his British debut for the Panthers against the Manchester club.

His family introduced him to speedway as a child and he has been a lifelong fan at Leszno and actually lived only two houses from Coventry's Krzysztof Kasprzak and went to the same school.

Started riding junior bikes at 14 and qualified for his 500cc licence on May 16, 2000, in Opole but had to wait until 2001 for his Ekstraleague debut for his hometown team.

Won the silver medal in the 2002 Poland Bronze Helmet (open to riders under 19) and two years ago finished ninth in the Golden Helmet.

Has been riding for First League Poznan since 2007 and is currently vying for top spot in their averages with Wolverhampton's Adam Skornicki.

Had previously spent six years at Leszno becoming a regular in their top-flight line-up.

Made his Danish Superleague debut for Fjelsted in 2007, riding in three matches and scoring an average of 15 points a meeting, including a whopping 19 against Slangerup.

In 2008 he actually stood in for Kenneth Bjerre in three meetings for Esbjerg, scoring 47 points.

He has also ridden regularly over the last three seasons in Sweden for AllSvenskan Örnarna and in the Czech Republic for Mseno.

Married to Marlena, they have a young daughter Aleksandra.

Peterborough Debut:  v Belle Vue, Elite League, June 25, 2010.
